¿Qué significa: "me duele el corazón para/por ti"?
Hi all,
I would like to know how to say 'my heart aches for you' in spanish, as in, a romantic expression.
The feeling I want to convey is 'my heart wants you' (mi corazón te quiere?)
Someone you haven't seen in a long time but you love them and miss them and your heart aches for them...hehe
If i say "me duele el corazón para ti", is that a negative thing, as in literally: 'you're hurting my heart'
Graciassss, Jack

Puedes decirle a tu Amada: "Estoy herido de amor por ti". O tambien puedes decirle: "Mi Corazón late por ti". Saludos desde Venezuela.

Yes Jack you are right. It literally has the negative meaning you are hurting my heart.
Como dice Leonardo :
Mi corazón late por ti. Es talvez la más natural.

Yes. Your sentence has a negative meaning, and it should be 'me duele el corazón por ti'. I am not sure about the accurate translation of your sentence. I don't know if something like 'Mi corazón anhela/ansía verte'. I don't think poetry can be translated directly from English into Spanish.
