How do I say I got an A in japanese?? I want to share with my japanese friend that I got an A ( she doesn't speak english ) but I don't know how to say it in japanese, do they go by letter grades or percent or something? Also how do I say I've been studying for four months? And how do I say I got an 86% on the final japanese exam. Thanks in advance I know its a lot.

You could say "Seiseki wa A deshita" to mean "I got an A." In Japan some schools use letter grades. It really depends on the school. "Yonkagetsu benkyo shiteimasu" → "I've been studying for four month." "Nihongo no kimatsu shiken no seiseki wa 86% deshita." → "I got an 86% on the final japanese exam."

Well, I know they use a 1-100 scale, so my best guess is; 私は日本語試験に86をもらいました! Beware: This is not a guarantee, I'm just as much, if not more of a noob at Japanese than you.
