We usually call it "长城" ,you can call it "万里长城". In Chinese, "长"means long,"城" means city wall. "里" is a unit for measuring length or distance,1里=500 meters = 0.31 mile. We use "万里" to emphasize its length. But it doesn't means its length is ten thousand meters, it is only an estimate.

"Great Wall" is'nt the chinese name. 万里长城 wan4 li3 chang2 cheng2 10000 li (miles) long wall Where 10000 means an extremely high number.
