Do you use the subjunctive conjugation when asking a question? Quieres comer? O querias comer? Since you are not certain if the other person wants to eat, which conjugation should you use?

In most cases we simply use the present indicative: ¿Quieres comer? However, if you're asking for a loaf of bread in a bakery, you can choose between many different ways of saying it: -¿Podrías darme una barra de pan?
