Replace 'Thank you' with 'I know', and you will see and perhaps remember why we offset the name with a comma when we address a person directly.

You can change 6 to Thanks, Joseph.
1---is more formal, 4---signifies emphasis on thanks---(you could also say, Thanks so much, Joseph), 6---Thanks, Joseph---is less formal, 8---I wouldn't use

they are the same except 5 and 6, dont use fifth and sixth. they are wrong.
