“The piece, which had to be performed in silence, still receives regular performances around the world. ”

While receive usually means "to accept," there is a second definition- "to experience something." For example, "she received a serious injury" could be translated as "she experienced a serious injury." In this case, the performed piece is still experiencing regular shows.
Similar words: sustain or undergo.

It could still mean "accept" in a figurative sense.
The musical piece "accepts invitations to be performed" around the world.
