What is the difference between "estatua" and "escultura"?

In general a statue is a big sculpture, and usually representing something in a non-figurative way, such as a person, an animal, etc. A sculpture would cover those too, but may also cover those of a more artistic nature. Statue being estatua and sculpture being escultura, of course.
