Namaste Styrling ji, "तो" has many uses in Hindi. Usually the usage of the "तो" (emphatic participle) is used to emphasize on some part of the sentence. for example main to padhtaa hoon. (I (indeed) do study (meaning I do not know about others.), 2. Usne mujhe to bulaayaa thaa.(He had certainly invited me - meaning I do not know if he/she invited others or not.
2. तो is sometimes used to begin speech like well, so etc. in English. for example To, aap kya kah rahe the? well, what were you saying? 2. To, aap kal delhi jaa rahe hain? So, you are going to Delhi tomorrow? Hope this makes sense. If not, feel free to message me and I'll be happy to help you out with additional examples. Good luck!
