What's IV stands for in "electronic IV drip tree"?

IV = intra-venous (inside the veins)
I assume the drip is electronically controlled instead of being controlled by a manually throttled valve.

I've never heard it referred to as this....but it sounds medical: like an IV catheter in a vein....in which IV stands for intra-venous
