You are correct. The translation is not accurate. This is understandable. You have to fit the words into the tune of the song. So it is translation by meaning. Even a Cantonese song cannot be sung in Mandarin or vice versa using the same exact words. This is because a high tone character cannot be sung using a low music tone and Chinese is a tonal language.

I heard this song a couple of years ago,when I'm going to listen again, I found some bugs in the original video.“I Want It That Way” translate into Chinese“我要你那一样”is wrong,it's different meaning,and actually the singer sings is"我要你那样". 为什么你不行懂 Why can't you understand,In this sentence,same problems ,It should be "为什么你不行动why don't you act"
