Is it wrong to use "further" instead of "furthermore" in the following sentences?
Wearing unsuitable clothes for a particular occasion can result in others' bad behavior toward us. Furthermore we know that every action has a reaction.

Yes, using "further" instead of "furthermore" would be incorrect. "Further" is used to refer to a distance ("I had walked further than I realized").
