Ground floor en español
My dictionary says that "ground floor" is "el bajo" but my text got corrected to "la parte baja" (the bottom part / the lower part). Maybe there is another word for "ground floor" in Spanish?
Thanks.

I believe you are trying to say "planta baja"? That is what we call the "ground floor", then we have the first floor, second, third and so on.

Hello, Ground floor here is like a floor under the first floor, so at least here in Perú we call "sótano" o "planta baja" :)

"Planta baja" is the word I would use, at least here in México.

I search in google: http://english.stackexchange.com/questions/69841/ground-floor-vs-first-floor
What is the context? Do you want to refer to "the first floor"?
