Productive "in" ? I want to be productive in teaching. Why is the preposition IN used before productive? Is there any other adjective that you can put before the preposition?

"In" is not used before the word "productive," but before the word "teaching." It acts as a preposition to the object of the sentence (in this case, teaching). English uses "in" to mean "within the topic of..." Hope this helps; let me know if my answer is confusing.
