Can you tell me if these sentences are ok?
-She promised she would leave the house as soon as Mrs. Halcombe was better.
-The doctor said she wouldn't have lived much longer.
-If he had known what trurly happened, he wouldn't have killed himself
The first two are perfect.
The third one should be 'If he had known what truly happened, he wouldn't have killed himself'. You might say 'If he had known what had truly happened, he wouldn't have killed himself', but both are fine :)
