I would like to read English stories therefor I downloaded an English roman " fisher man and his soul " it is an interesting story but there are many old fashioned words
Now I want to see ! if reading this story is useful or no?

In my opinion, it is very useful to polish listening and speaking through reading stories on Youtube. You may find plenty of learning materials on Youtube one of which is "learning English through stories".

If it's the Oscar Wilde book, I don't believe that it would be recommended for learning modern English.
