How do you feel about 'What do you reckon?' ? In what situations would you use this expression?
Hello!
'What do you reckon?' always doesn't seem very formal or even polite to me. Just because...!
Would it be not apropriate to say this in business meetings?
Or it's just the same with 'What do you think?' ?
I would like to know how native speakers feel about this expression!
Many thanks in advance. :)

In the UK we use it pretty much the same as "what do you think?" .I don't think it's particularly rude, maybe slightly more informal, but people use it very often.

''What do you reckon?'' is basically the exact same as ''What do you think'?'' as you said however it's more laid back so saying ''what do you think?'' would be better to ask at a business meeting in my opinion although you wouldn't be looked down upon as being disrespectful if you said it differently
