I think the majority of which is not correct. It should be "the majority of whom". Is it right? About 5,000 residents have been evacuated so far, the majority of which faced mandatory evacuations, according Deputy Jeffrey A. Gordon with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Majority of whom is better "which" is used to refer to objects. For example, "I have twelve co-workers, most of whom are French, and I have twelve wine bottles, most of which are empty." About 5,000 residents have been evacuated so far, the majority of whom faced mandatory evacuations, according to Deputy Jeffrey A. Gordon at the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. I hope this helps!
