Is the following sentence correct? "Particulary strking is the view of the fortress .."

Yes, it can be considered correct. This sentence would most likely be found in an article, book or brochure. It would be less often used in oral English I think. (Just be careful of the spelling for :striking" maybe just a typo ):

Yes, it's correct. As Thomas says, it's slightly formal. It's guidebook language. It would only make sense in a longer description of a place. From a Google search, I find that it might have come from the Wikipedia article on Gradara Castle, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gradara_Castle Oddly enough, the sentence that precedes it is not quite right: "It is protected by two walls, the outermost of which extends for almost 800 meters, making it the imposing structure. Particularly striking is the view of the fortress and the underlying historical village at night." "...the imposing structure" does not quite make sense; it should probably be "...the most imposing structure."
