3. Translation help? Currently trying to read 어느 날 내가 죽었다. Below sentences are some of the few that I can not get my head around at all either because of the new words or grammar point. If anyone can help me with this that would be very helpful! 1. "나도 정소희를 엔간히 좋아하지만, 너도 위정하 그 녀석한테 빠지긴 풍덩 빠졌다! 이렇게 질질 짜는 걸 보니...." [I can't seem to find the appropriate meaning for 질질 짜는 걸 here. I don't quite understand what the speaker is inituating.] 2. " ...피자라도 사 줄 수 있어. 좋지, 피자는?" 피자라니 그 와중에도 군침이 돌았다. [What is the grammar for ~...라니 means exactly in here. I also not quite clear on 와중에도 군침이 돌았다 ] 3. 내가 피자를 입에 넣은 채 우물거리면서 묻자 재준이는 얼른 손을 흔들며 말했다. [What is the grammar means ~자 in '...우물거리면서 묻자...'] "아, 안 웃을게. 얼른 먹어. 아깐 금방 죽을 애 같더니 피자는 잘만 먹으니까 안 웃기냐?" [What does 잘만 means?] 4. 내가 그렇게 진지하게 말하자 오히려 재준이는 머쓱하며 되받았다. [Again here with the ~자 particle]

1. "나도 정소희를 엔간히 좋아하지만, 너도 위정하 그 녀석한테 빠지긴 풍덩 빠졌다! 이렇게 질질 짜는 걸 보니...." [I can't seem to find the appropriate meaning for 질질 짜는 걸 here. I don't quite understand what the speaker is inituating.] => True, I'm head over heels for 정소희 myself, but you must have fallen deeply for that guy 위정하 with some splash, to cry like that. * 질질 짜는 걸 보니 = To see you crying like this = Judging from how you're crying. * 질질 짜다 (cry) = 질질 (adv. describing something dragging or liquid flowing) 짜다(squeeze; slang for "cry") 2. " ...피자라도 사 줄 수 있어. 좋지, 피자는?" 피자라니 그 와중에도 군침이 돌았다. [What is the grammar for ~...라니 means exactly in here. I also not quite clear on 와중에도 군침이 돌았다 ] => I can buy you pizza. You like pizza, don't you? => On hearing "pizza", my mouth watered despite what was going on. * 피자라니 = (상대방이) 피자라고 (말)하니 = as the other person says 피자 = On hearing 피자. * 그 와중에도 (despite what was happening) 군침(water, saliva)이 돌았다(made its way) => My mouth watered not heeding (the glumness of) the situation. 3. 내가 피자를 입에 넣은 채 우물거리면서 묻자 재준이는 얼른 손을 흔들며 말했다. [What is the grammar means ~자 in '...우물거리면서 묻자...'] "아, 안 웃을게. 얼른 먹어. 아깐 금방 죽을 애 같더니 피자는 잘만 먹으니까 안 웃기냐?" [What does 잘만 means?] => As I asked through the pizza I had in my mouth, 재준 waved his hand quickly and said. => "Okay, I won't laugh. Just eat. That was because it was so funny you looking like about to die in one moment and devouring pizza in the next. * -자 = a verb connective ending indicating 1) one action is immediately followed by another, 2) one thing cause another thing (아버지가 야단을 치자 아이는 울었다). * 잘만 먹다 = eat rather well (for what happened). 만 indicates a person thought to be badly affected acts surprisingly nonchalantly defying the expectation. 4. 내가 그렇게 진지하게 말하자 오히려 재준이는 머쓱하며 되받았다. [Again here with the ~자 particle] => 재준 responded with an uncharacteristic awkwardness to the serious remark I made. * -자 here has the same meaning as in the previous usage, "immediately after/in response to action or event".
