How to say sorry?
If I said or did sth wrong, can I say "I'm sorry about that."?
What's the difference between "Sorry about" and "sorry for"?
Thanks in advance!

First, how can I say sorry. How to say... is incorrect.
The usage for
sorry about --> I am sorry about something e.g. the accident (but I had nothing to do with it)
sorry for --> I am sorry for a person (e.g. I am sorry for her. She must have been very sad since her boyfriend left her.)
OR I am sorry for having caused the accident (i.e. having done something wrong or bad)
More formal: I (sincerely) apologize for...(e.g. being late).
