"Les noms se terminant par AL au singulier se transforment le plus souvent en AUX au pluriel : un journal > des journaux, etc. Il y a des exceptions, qu'il faut connaître : bal, carnaval, chacal, festival, récital, régal qui prennent un S au pluriel pour se transformer en ALS au pluriel : un bal > des bals."
