Need help translating hthis frace from Spanish to English.
Sup, guys! Quick question:
How would you translate the following phrase: "somos el legado de quien nos vio nacer" ?
My first instinct was something like: We are the legacy of who(m) gave birth to us... but not sure... Ideas?

A good expression here is: "to be the product of...." Here are some examples: https://fraze.it/n_search.jsp?q=the+product+of+&l=0&t=0&ffo=false&findid=-1&ff=
So you could say: We are all the products of our parents.
Another option: Our parents make/made us who we are. I prefer this one.

You could say: We are the legacy of those who made us. (like you make a product)
