It is a sham. They cleverly phrase their statements to be neutral, and as you show reactions to things, they will make the statements more specific. The predictions are vague and those who wish to believe will make future events seem to fit in their mind. The fortune teller will say you will meet a tall dark stranger, and three months later your new boss has black hair, in your mind the fortune teller has made a prediction. But if your boss had blond hair, you might attribute the prediction to the new cleaner at work. If you want to check it, ask for specific predictions, discount anything that does not give dates, times, names, or something specific. Write the remainder down (if any) and then see how many come true. Specific is not that 'someone famous' will die. There are many famous people, get a name and a date. And it does not count if they say the name of someone who has a terminal illness or are aged over 100.

An excellent question. Yes, that is correct, simply by the date of birth, nowadays the computers will tell us a lot about ourselves and especially of the past. The date of birth is associated with planetary movements and specific energy it emanates. For centuries, data has been gathered and correlated with specific events and periods. Thus a specific movement of the planetary position, has a specific energy and frequency in general, and relates to a specific time and date of birth. So the belief of fortune tellers, astrologers, card readers, psychics is that the planetary positions determines what you are and your destiny. Let me explain. Most people if not all are reincarnated in order to complete their understanding from previous lifetimes and to unite with their radiant soul in order to be eternally in Bliss and live eternally. Their soul chooses the best and the most advantages time and location including the parents for their accelerated evolution. This energy and frequency coincides with that of the universal energy. Thus the similarities and the explanation. If we chose to believe a fortune teller (psychic), we would have given away our power away to them and accept what they say. And once we accept what they said of the future, we focus on that specific outcome and thus it happens. We then say that they were right. If we do not believe in them, then we do not give our power away, and not even bother with them. It has to be clearly understood that each one of us is divine and we make our own destiny. We do not need priests, rabies, imams, gurus or anyone else in order to contact the source of all information. Thus what all religions call God, is actually within each of us and we do not need them as intermediaries. Attitude is everything.

don't be so harsh on fortune tellers. they are just like anyone else trying to make a living, and i think they are not doing anything wrong. fortune telling is actually a good skill.

首先来帮你修改一些错误: In your opinion, what is the right attitude to have towards fortunte-tellers? As a college student of the 21st Century, I know I should not believe in such things, but somehow they know my temper and accurately tell me things about my past, based only on my exact time of birth. How can we explian it if we dont believe it ? I'm confused, can you share your opinions? First I can tell you why it's a sham. I am a twin and our 16th birthday my aunt bought my twin and me a book each that was created by a "fortune teller" and was based on our date of birth + time. We were born 9mins away from each other. The books were virtually the SAME, but let me tell you this, my twin and I couldn't be more different. our characters and lives are completely different, you wouldn't believe we were twins unless I told you. However, according to the teller, we had similar manners and would lead similar lives. Similarly with star-signs, it's all a load of rubbish. That the stars should have an impact on our lives...please....how "special" are we? I'm with Kevin on this one, they start vague and play on your reactions to get more specific. A good fortune teller is nothing but a good reader of body language with a quick wit. Next time you go, give nothing. Sit with your eyes closed, hands under your seat and don't move a muscle. Then see how specific they'll get. Consider this, if it were all true and they can tell the future then ALL predictions should be EXACTLY THE SAME!!! But they are not....funny that.
