Hi Niwantha, Your sentence: "I have completed 03 reports. The balance reports will follow." In terms of grammar, there is nothing wrong with your sentence structure except for your use of "03". In general, we use words to describe small quantities instead of numerals. The use of "0" before "3" also gives rise to confusion -- just the numeral "3" will suffice. In terms of semantics, we always try to be unambiguous when writing. You have finished a portion of the reports and they are a few more to be done. You can use the phrase "xxx of the nouns" to bring in this part-whole meaning. In the second sentence, the word "balance" is understood to be the remaining reports. "I have completed three of the reports. The balance will be sent soon." Of course, in English, there is more than one way to describe the same idea. Some suggestions for you: 1) I have completed three of the reports. The remainder will be sent soon. 2) I have completed three reports. The remaining *ones will be sent soon. *one: (pronoun) referring to a person or thing previously mentioned or easily identified. (Reference URL: https://www.thefreedictionary.com/one. Look under pron. #18) I have replaced "follow" with "will be sent" as I presume that you will be the sender after you have completed the rest of the reports. Hope this helps. Cheers, Lance

"I have completed three of the reports, as attached. The balance of the reports will be sent soon" We use written words for small numbers, and adding a leading zero is rather confusing. Jeffs 'the three' doesn't quite make sense though. It isn't clear which three you are referring to. You could write 'the first three' or 'these three', or as I suggested 'three of the reports'. 'The balance reports' also isn't very good English. You need either 'the balance of the reports', or you could use 'the remaining reports'. 'Will follow' is possibly a little curt - not really impolite though.

I have completed/finished/done the three reports. The balance reports will be coming soon." "will follow" is not grammatically wrong but implies your position is higher than the reader's. My version is more polite.

I have been asked to do 5 reports. I have already completed 3. I am sending those with this email. I will send the remainder after this / later.
