A strip-off is a competition (usually for fun/teasing) in which you strip (take off your clothes) in a type of manner (usually erotic or sexual). However, "to strip" is also used in the sense of "to remove/to take away (something)". "After further scrutiny, the judges decided to strip them of their medals for their infraction."
