What's the difference between these two? Are they interchangeable?

in korean, we can just take off the subject in a sentence.
나를 닮았다 is the example.
나를 닮았다 means (smth which is ommitted) is similar to me.
나를 닮아 doesnt have certain one meaning, it's context
