Why can't we schedule lessons less than 24 hours in advance? Why can't we schedule lessons less than 24 hours in advance? For example, I want to schedule a lesson for tomorrow, but all the schedules are greyed-out. There are teachers who obviously have time available, but italki won't allow scheduling? Why not? Is there any way around this? @italki #italki P.S. It would be very useful to be able to search Answers and Discussions (what's the difference, anyway?) to see if this has been asked/answered before.

I wholeheartedly agree. I'm usually on a busy schedule and I can't foresee my program 24+ hours ahead, which prevents me from booking lessons. I would like to be able to book a lesson that is, let's say, 3 hours later, or tomorrow morning, but I can't. It's so annoying.

I agree it can be inconvenient. I think the objective is to give teachers time to prepare for their classes, but yes, sometimes I'd like the option to let students book at the last minute, when we both have time and agree to meet! The way I work around it is, we have the lesson anyway, and they pay by booking a lesson for the next day (which we don't do). This only works if the teacher and student know and trust each other, of course. A note about teachers' schedule: "time available" doesn't mean I'll be sitting at my computer the whole time! It simply means time available for booking, preferably in advance. Depending on which times are booked, I'll then arrange the rest of my day around those lessons. That's how I can say I'm available 11 hours a day. It's to accommodate students' schedules! :)

I think you need to ask the support group. This forum is for language questions !

Exactly I am really pissed off! I wanted to try it. I have 3 trial lessons that are not cheaper than half lesson. I hoped I could... but was not able to find a single bloody teacher for tomorrow. It is Saturday. It is my way as a customer to want to be able to try to attend a lesson at my convenience and my personal wish to be it now or say in 10 hours. I don't want to be bound by a promise of attending a lesson ...there are many substitutes. feck off

Gary they don't make it easy! I found this link where you can make suggestions. Don't know why they make it soooo hard to contact support: https://support.italki.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
