Dodge situation
What does 'dodge situation' mean?
I heard this word while I was listening to a podcast but I don't remember in what context it was used in...
I could not find it from a dictionary either.

I think the right phrase is "dodgy situation". Something dodgy is something that is questionable, dishonest, unreliable, misleading, dubious, fishy.

I don't know how to explain it well but it usually implies rejecting a request with some sort of action.
e.g. Today a stranger asked me for my phone number and I didn't want to give it away. So I dodged the situation by telling him to look up and running away after he did.
