What's the difference between 삭제 and 제거?
What's the difference between 삭제(하다) and 제거(하다)? I know that both are the "delete" but I cannot understand where and when I can use one word or another.

제거 하다 : remove, (used not only physical object but also invisible, chemical object)

e.g.
remove odor 
냄새를 제거하다(O)
냄새를 삭제하다(X)
remove stains on clothes 
옷에 묻은 얼룩을 제거하다.(O)
옷에 묻은 얼룩을 삭제하다.(X)

파일을 삭제하다(O) - more natural
파일을 제거하다(O)
scratch his name out of the list
명부에서 그의 이름을 삭제하다.(O) - more natural
명부에서 그의 이름을 제거하다.(O)
