to place smth
Is it correct to use verb "to place" in this sentence? Is it normal?
I placed this photo mainly with purpose to show her coat colors.
It is about a photo in an article and "coat" is about a cat coat.

"I put this photo here mainly for the purpose of showing her coat colors." This sounds more natural to me because to say "placed this" is a bit of a tongue twister. It is much easier to pronounce "put this." :)
