Is it possible to use "As" for the future in this mannar? Hi friends, Is it possible to use "As" for the future in the following manner? I know that we can use "As" for the past (as explained, as discussed etc.) e.g. 1) As we will meet on Sunday, I will explain the plan in detail. 2) As we will discuss this in our next meeting, we will be able to come to a conclusion. Thanks in advance! Niwantha

Yes ... but Since the meeting has been arranged, the correct form of the future is the present continuous. "As we're meeting on Sunday ..." not "As we will meet ..." You can also use 'since'. "Since we're meeting on Sunday, there's no need to talk now." Cheers

'as' in this case is a conjunction, similar to 'since' or 'seeing as'. It has no relation to the tense of the clause. :)
