“Enterprise” is broader than “company.” All companies (in the sense of businesses or corporations) are enterprises, but not all enterprises are companies. Enterprises are groups of people working together for a common purpose. For example, there can be a “criminal enterprise” — a group of criminals working together to commit crimes. They are an enterprise, but not a company.
