Please help with these sentences. When asked about Coca-Cola, Buffett marveled that it now sells 21 billion cases of product and sells more units every year. In 1997, the stock was 80 with $1.50 per share of low-quality earnings. Today, the stock is 44 with $2.17 a share of better-quality earnings. Q: What are '80' and '44' here?

Probably the price per share: $80 in 1997, $44, today. In other words, the stock price has dropped, even though earnings per share are higher.
