I don't think the turban on his head has anything to do with the meaning of the photo. It is just a side detail. To me, it looks like a teacher yelling 'goodbye' to a student who is late for another class. The teacher is holding papers in his hand. There are other students visible. The boy is also wearing a backpack like a schoolboy. The teaching is yelling something while smiling and waving. I assume he is saying 'goodbye!'. Hope this helps.

To me - that looks like a turban. I would guess the man is a member of the Sikh religion, they wear turbans that look like that. Also - to me, it doesn't look like anything is in the kid's hand - it looks like a badly drawn thumb (see his other hand) and the window of the door on the left (see the door on the right - it has a window with the same shading). I'm not sure that the kid is trying to avoid the man, so much as he's hurrying to go somewhere else. It looks to me like a school. At the end of the school day - some kids rush out as quickly as they can. If I had to guess what's being said it would be "Bye" (backpack) and "See you tomorrow" (turban).

Yes, this is a cultural question. The man is a Sikh and is wearing a turban - one of the last vestiges of his religion in modern life. My caption would be, "Yo! Where are you heading so fast?"

I asked some people they say, "This appears to be a cultural rather than a language question but, apart from not being able to work out what the boy is holding in his right hand, it appears to be set in a school, and the man is a teacher." and also "The guy with the turban may be a Sikh and the student may be trying to avoid contact with him because of bias."
