What does "I'm to die today" mean? Played The Witcher 3 and found there the phrase "I'm to die today. I wish to look smashing for the occasion". What does it mean by "I am to do something"?. In the description to a card it was found by me. Can someone explain it to me?

"I am to do something" is an old English construction. It is the same as "I am going to do something" So, "I'm to die today." is saying, "I'm going to die today." The Witcher 3 is set in medieval times when that type of speech was more normal. You could use that structure today but it is very uncommon.
