What is the difference between 국립학교 and 공립학교?
I'm aware that 국 in 국립 means country and 공 in 공립 means public in Hanja. However, I wonder what the difference between 국립학교 and 공립학교 in Korean is. I understand that both of them refers to the public school/university.
Thank you so much in advance.

국립학교 is founded and managed by a national government
공립학교 is founded and managed by a municipal government.(e.g.시립학교,도립학교,군립학교)
Thus,
a public school : 국공립학교
a private school : 사립학교
