Is there any difference between restrain, suppress and subdue? I feel like they are pretty similar when used with expression, emotions, feelings and physical movements. Is there any subtle difference? Thank you so much!!!

Yes, similar. restrain, - prevent (usually) from moving, restrict the movement of, sometimes thought or non-mechanical movement, tie, tether suppress - not allow something, discourage, hide, prevent displays of, prevent from having any power subdue - force to be quiet, overcome by force, or otherwise
