Are "영화를 보이다" in these sentences correct? I pratice Topik 47 Beginner, and in Topik Exam, i saw some sentences like that: "요즘 옛날 영화를 다시 보여 주는 극장이 많습니다" "그럼 기타를 잘 보이는 곳에 두세요. 그러면 기타가 자꾸 보이니까 연습하는 걸 잊지 않겠지요?" As i know, 보이다 is passive verb, so the grammar must be "이/가 보이다" (in the sentence must be "영화이 다시 보여 주는" and "기타를 잘 보이는 곳 "), so these sentences grammar is not correct, right? Sorry for my bad English

1. 요즘 옛날 영화를 다시 보여 주는 극장이 많습니다 There are many theaters that show old movie nowadays. Here, 보이다 is a causative verb of 보다. It is a transitive verb (to show) 영화를 보여주는 극장 theater that shows movie 2. 그럼 기타를 잘 보이는 곳에 두세요. 그러면 기타가 자꾸 보이니까 연습하는 걸 잊지 않겠지요? Then, place guitar in plain sight. And then, because the guitar is visible frequently, you won't forget to practice, are you? Here, 보이다 is a passive verb of 보다. It is a intransitive verb (to be visibile) 기타를 (잘 보이는 곳에) 두세요. Place guitar in the place where it is visibile well

보이다 can be either transitive or intransitive -- without an object, it means "be visible", with one (as it is being used here), it means "to show". The explicitly passive-voice variant can be constructed with -지: 보여지다 "to be shown"
