Is there an expression in English: "Pure insanity"? Do native speakers use this expression (pure insanity) or is it just an illiterate translation of a Russian expression (чистое безумие)? Thank you in advance!

Yes, it's frequently used in English. Alternatively you could say "absolute insanity", and this is probably more common, but I prefer the phrase "pure insanity"

You can certainly use it and it's perfectly fine, but we have a slightly more common expression, "pure madness".
