Questions in hungarian
Hi everyone!
I have the following questions:
1. How do you ask someone in hungarian "What's your job?" or "What do you do for a living?"
2. How can I say "I have a pet"?
3. How would you order a coffee in a restaurant?
Thanks!

Hi Dominique,
"What's your job?" or "What do you do for a living?" = "Mivel foglalkozol?" or "Mi a munkád?" or "Miből élsz?" (the latter is rather informal)
"I have a pet" = "Van egy háziállatom."
How would you order a coffee in a restaurant? -> "Szeretnék rendelni egy kávét."
I hope it helps you!
Kind regards, Peter (from Budapest)

Well, instead of "What's your job?" we use "What do you work?" It's more common. It sounds like this: "Mit dolgozol?" But if you ask about the job you've learnt, "What's your job?" you can ask "Mi a szakmád?"
I have a pet. = Van háziállatom. / Van kisállatom.
To order a coffee:
Jó napot kívánok! Egy kávét szeretnék.
(Ez lehet eszpresszó, lehet hosszú kávé, lehet jeges kávé, bármi, amit csak el tudsz képzelni. Természetesen itt is vannak csodás kávéházak, presszók, cukrászdák, de akár a metróaluljáróban is lehet kávét kérni, mondjuk ott kevésbé széles a választék.)
