Thanks, Ms. Natalie. So, this phrase just means pain or ache that caused by psychological stress and fear, am I right?

It’s a bad feeling, normally for nervousness or a gut feeling. So before a driving test I might say ‘I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach’ or ‘I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach’
