The house has a view to the west over the sea from up on the cliff, but this means it is very exposed to the wind from the sea. It has a western exposure. (open/unprotected to the west)

An artist can get exposure to the public by signing a record deal.
A photographer changes the exposure of his camera in order to have it be more open to receiving light in the lens.
