Can I say:
"He has paid tremendous effort in his research."
"He has buried himeself in his research."
What else can I say to express "pay tremendous effort to something"?

You can say that.
Other ways to convey the same thing would be:
"He has dedicated many hours on his research."
"He has spent many waking hours on his research."
"He spent a lot of time on his research."
"He spent a long time on his project."
"He put a lot of energy into that project."

An english person would not say "He has paid tremendous effort in his research."
It would would be either:
"He has made a tremendous effort in his research."
or
"He has made tremendous efforts in his research."
"He has buried himself in his research." is fine except for the typo (himeself)
