Is the sentence paralleled? "the teachers are very strict and expect us to study hard."
On one side we have sub+ verb+ adjective, shouldn't we have sub+verb+adj after "and" too? Or I got the whole thing wrong:/!

There is a subject ('they') implied in "and expect us to study hard".
