My italki time zone hasn't adjusted to yesterday's time change Hello teacher, I am an Italki teacher based in kenya and there is no time change here. A Spanish student booked a class last week scheduled for 7pm Kenya time. However, there was a time change yesterday in Europe and my scheduled lesson has remained at the same time despite this time change. Surely my lesson should be an hour later (at 8pm) due to the time change in Spain. Has anyone got any experience of this or can shed some light on what happens in this situation?

your time will show the same for you as yesterday, because you have not adjusted the clocks in Kenya. The students time will adjust to the time change in spain. he will be notified about the lesson at the correct time for him. Only ancient or badly programmed computers do not make adjustments today. Everything else is done automatically in the background. This includes all modern mobile phones that detect the time changes as you fly around the planet and cross from zone to zone. It is common for people to miss or forget appointments at the clock changing dates.

This is the expected behaviour. The calendar software should map the UTC time to local time based on the time adjustment for the day in question (which may be a different adjustment than today’s adjustment).
