I'd like to learn some everyday use slang terms in Mandarin and am not sure if this translation from google is correct. Does anyone have a nice website with modern everyday use mandarin slang?

Also, I just joined italki and would love to have friends to practice mandarin with :)

想练习汉语，就从用汉语发贴开始吧。
严格的说，英语的slang汉语并没有完全对应的词。slang朗文的解释是：very informal, sometimes offensive language that is used especially by people who belong to a particular group, such as young people or criminals.而现代汉语词典对俚语的解释是：粗俗的或通行极窄的方言词，如北京话里的“撒丫子”，“开瓢儿”。可见俚语的主要特点，一是指粗俗，一是指方言，所以才会有方言俚语的说法。

比英语slang属于一个特殊群体这个特征，更象汉语的“行话、黑话”，但行话专指各行业的专业用语，不一定是术语。而黑话则特指坏人，比如小偷，强盗，土匪使用的话。

只不过第一个人把slang译成了俚语，现在应该也就成了一个固定的翻译了。但肯定不准确。
