What does "hook smne up" mean in this sentence?
Sophie looked down. “It’s covering my port,” she explained. “It’s like, ’cause I’ve had so much chemo, the nurses have trouble finding a vein. So the doctor put this plastic thing in my chest, it’s called a port, so they can just hook me right up.”

Hi, Dariana,
In this context it means to connect something to someone, such as a tube.
In the States, we might also say "to hook someone up" meaning to get them in touch with someone or something. "I hooked her up with my doctor" or "I hooked him up with some concert tickets." "Hey, cam someone hook me up with a good tutor?"
Hope that helps!
Best,
Martha
