What's the difference between 3 years "later" and "after" 3 years

Hi Yusuke, this is a great question! Both are grammatically correct and make sense. To me, "3 years later" just sounds better in your sentence. Sorry that my answer couldn't be better!

I guess native speaker would like to say " 3 years later" .kinda like a habit.
