Korean names for foreigners
Hello everyone! I was wondering what was acceptable as a Korean name for a foreigner.
My name is Darren which would be 대런, and the first syllable of my surname sounds like the Korean surname 안. Therefore could I call myself 안대런 when introducing myself in Korean?
A lot of Koreans adopt English names when they speak English so I was wondering, how do Koreans feel about foreigners adopting Korean names when speaking and living in Korea?
For example, could I change my name from 안대런 to 안대원 to have a more typical Korean name while speaking Korean or would Koreans find this strange?

I think it would be great and people will think you are kind and nice.
Actually, I have a friend who who introduces himself with Korean-style name. When I met him first time, I though it was cool lol (his name sounds like one of Korean words, so he always use that word when he introduce himself)
