"Batgirl" is not PC. Hello. In Batman & Robin (1997), there is a scene where Batman (his real name is Bruce Wayne) and Robin meet Batgirl for the first time. So they don't know who she is, yet. Batman: And you are? Batgirl: Batgirl. Batman: That's not awfully P.C. What about Batperson or Batwoman? Batgirl: Bruce, it's me, Barbara. I found the batcave. I know that PC stands for "Politically Correct" and I understand that it's a bit of a joke. What I don't understand, however, is that why Batgirl is not considered to be politically correct. Could you explain it to me, please? Thank you.

Hello Nikita! This is a guess but it could be because the male superheroes all have "man" (the word used for an adult male) in their names for example, "Superman", "Batman", "Spiderman". So the equivalent for a female would be "woman" and not "girl" (the word for female child). The joke is that Barbara is referring to herself as a "girl" by calling herself "Batgirl" and this would not go down well with women's liberation groups (or groups that fight for women having the same rights as men) hence the reference to it not being P.C. I hope that helps!
